Bookings

Anyone can make a booking to have a consultation with Thea, with or without a referral from a health practitioner.

There are options available to Australian clients who have access to Medicare or private health insurance which can contribute towards the cost of seeing a dietitian if you have the appropriate level of care.

Medicare

Medicare rebates are available to clients who have a chronic condition and complex care needs being managed by a doctor (GP). GP referrals must be accompanied by a signed Referral Form for Allied Health Services to be eligible for a Medicare rebate.

If you would like to access up to 5 rebates of $56.00 within a 12 month period for consultations with Thea, we recommend that you speak to your doctor about whether you qualify for a Chronic Disease Management Plan which will provide this level of rebate.

If your GP provides you with the Chronic Disease Management Plan with sessions to see a dietitian, please send through your documents and the doctors’ details to [email protected] prior to your appointment.

At the moment, Dietetic Solutions does not bulk bill.

Private health insurance

A dietitian is qualified to provide tailored nutrition advice based on your health, age and lifestyle. If you have extras cover with private health insurance, you may be able to claim benefits towards your consultations.
